AMBIO receives Gold Education Leaders Award

We are delighted to share that AMBIO has once again received recognition for its expertise in integrated building and infrastructure design, particularly in the field of educational services. After being awarded the Best City Silver Award a few months ago, we are thrilled to announce that we have now been honored with the prestigious Gold Award at the Education Leaders Awards 2023. Our achievement is attributed to our study presentation titled “Vision of a Green School,” which focuses on the energy upgrade of the building and the bioclimatic redesign of the schoolyard of the 2nd Primary School in Kanallaki, Municipality of Parga.

The Education Leaders Awards 2023 Ceremony was held on Monday, July 3rd, at the Conference Centre of West Attica  University. The event, organized by BOUSSIAS events, celebrated outstanding educational units, activities, and the Teacher of the Year in Greece. The awards aimed to recognize and elevate the educational experience for students and teachers in the new digital era. This marked the 8th consecutive year of the Education Leaders Awards in Greece. Mr. Filippos Petridis, CEO, received the award on behalf of AMBIO.

Based on best practices from other countries and adapted to Greek environmental standards, AMBIO has developed a unique concept for Public Schools. The “green” design implemented by AMBIO not only encompasses a sustainable and environmentally friendly building but also places a strong emphasis on inclusive education for all students and experiential learning. The study encompasses a comprehensive range of interventions to ensure the school’s complete energy autonomy and effectively mitigate the urban heat island effect while improving the local microclimate. By integrating these aspects into the design, the school provides a conducive and engaging learning environment for the students. These efforts align with European and national guidelines and reflect the values the Education Leaders Awards advocates.

This achievement serves as a testament to AMBIO’s dedication to innovation, sustainability, and the pursuit of an exceptional educational experience. We are immensely proud of our team’s hard work and relentless efforts in creating a greener and more inclusive future for the students.
